Instructions for Setting up Outlook 2000 to Send and Receive Email.



You need to be connected to myOsseo.com to add mail.

If you have not done so yet, you will need to add an Email account by clicking on the Create Account under the Create A myOsseo.com Email Account to the left.

1. Open Microsoft Outlook.

2. From the Tools menu, choose Accounts.




3. Select Add then Mail....




4. In the Your Name field, type your full name. (e.g., Jane Doe), then click the Next button




5. In the E-mail Address field, if your email address is jdoe then type your UserId followed by myosseo.com (e.g., jdoe@myosseo.com), then click the Next button.




6. Select My incoming mail server is a (POP3) server, then in the Incoming mail server (POP3) field, type mail.myosseo.com, then in the Outgoing mail server (SMTP) field, type mail.myosseo.com, then click the Next button.




7. In the Account name field, if your Username is jdoe, type your username (e.g., jdoe@myosseo.com). In the Password field, type your email password. Check the box next to Remember password if you wish to save your password then click the Next > button, click the Next button, then Finish.




8. Click once on pop3.myosseo.com, then click on Properties to the right.




9. Select the Server tab, then click on the box next to My server requires authentication, then click on Settings




11. Click on the Log on using, then enter in the username to be followed by myosseo.com, Example the username is jdoe the login should be jdoe@myosseo.com then your password, then click on Ok, then Ok, then Close to exit.
